Description:   Eric Bonabeau is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer of Icosystem. He is one of the world's leading experts in complex systems and distributed adaptive problem solving. He has a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Paris-Sud University in France, and he spent several years as a Research Fellow at the Santa Fe Institute. He is also an alumnus of the two premier French universities: Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications.

Eric is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Advances in Complex Systems and serves as a member of the editorial board of the journals Artificial Life and Information Sciences. Eric is editor and co-author of the book Intelligence Collective (Hermes Sciences, Paris) and the co-author of Swarm Intelligence (Oxford University Press) and Self-Organization in Biological Systems (Princeton University Press). Eric's commercial experience includes years of research and development in US and European telecommunications and software companies as well as establishing Eurobios. He sits on the advisory board of several companies, including a number of Fortune 500 corporations.
