Dave Bujnowski
Dave's first entree into "tech" was in 1997 when he joined UBS as a research associate in the semiconductor group in San Francisco.
In his 7+ years at UBS, Dave worked on the semiconductor team for 3 years, the institutional sales desk as a tech specialist for one year, and then joined Pip's global tech strategy team in 2001.
On the semiconductor team, Dave researched large cap semis - Intel, Micron, Xilinx, Altera, among others. He was also involved in UBS's global research efforts, responsible for hosting weekly conference calls with UBS's tech analysts from Asia, Japan, Europe and North America and for writing the follow-on bi-weekly reports -- Global Soundbytes. He also participated in UBS's Global 2000 Tour, a group of 12 top analysts and strategists from all sectors who traveled the globe presenting to auditoriums of investors.
In Global Tech Strategy, Dave was a member of the Internal Review Committee and authored several reports detailing UBS's Global Tech Portfolio as well as The Final Stage of Grieving: Valuations Drop - a 120 page piece on the implications of tech's slowing growth on valuations.
Prior to UBS, Dave worked for 3 years as a manager in the mutual fund operations department of Eaton Vance and for one year in the semiconductor research group at Alex Brown.
Dave has a B.S. in Finance and Philosophy from Boston College. His post graduate work has centered around 4+ years of brainwashing by Pip on tech investing and change. He now lives in New York, but looks for every excuse possible to get back to the west coast for some good snowboarding in Tahoe...
